OUR GROUP PROFILE...
ANCHROME (Chrome Tanning Agent)
CHEMICAL CHARACTER
Basic Chromium Sulphate
ANALYTICAL DATA
Cr(2) O(3); 24 +/- .5%
Basicity 33 +/- 1%
Neutral Salts (Approx) 24%
PROPERTIES
ANCHROME is a flaky powder easily soluble in cold water and
highly soluble in hot water in the proportion of 1:2.
It contains compatible additives to help fast penetration and better
exhaustion. The flakes are made in such a way as to ensure a high
degree of solubility in cold water. The tanner has the obvious advantage
of controlling the masking by the addition of suitable masking agents.
The basicity variation from batch to batch is minimal and one
can be sure of a starting material of standard basicity.
APPLICATION
Because of the ease of solubility, this can be used in dry tannage
or floatless tannage without any problem. The product could also be
dissolved in water in the proportion of 1:2 and used for tannages where
definite floats are employed. Since they are not masked, the tanner can
add the requsite amount of masking agents to have the advantage of
controlled and uniform dyeing at the later stage. As such, when used,
it gives an optimum green colour and uniform tanning is achieved.
